123movie.cc
It can be tough to find the perfect movie for Taco Tuesday. Going to the movie theater is out of the question, and you've already spent 30 minutes scrolling through Netflix, but nothing has caught your eye.
That's what Tuesday looked like for me.
Clicking on the logo takes you to a page with information about the site.
I found 123movie.cc when I clicked on its logo. The site has a modern look, and its search box is very similar to Google's. Clicking on the logo takes you to a page with information about the site.
But this site is loaded with movies you haven't heard of, and some new ones too.
A Design That Shines, But Isn?t Gold
I quickly looked through the catalog, realizing that the new car in front of me had a transmission that was shoddy.
I browsed through the movies until I found one that I liked. However, I wanted some recommendations for a Taco-Tuesday movie. so, I headed over to the movie section.
The landing page for the movies doesn't seem to be catering to what I might like. Instead, the films are in no particular order and half of them don't have an image for me to judge the book by its cover. So, I'm lost in a sea of meaningless movie titles with no direction on which way is up.
Thankfully, there is a filter option for the amoeba of movie titles.
It is difficult to find good music based on genre and year alone. Instead, I rely on the opinions of other users. They offer a convenient way to filter search results based on most viewed links and IMDB Top 100 ranking.
Systems like these can provide you with a list of things people enjoy, but it is limited to their library. Worse, it is a randomized list.
Whenever you click the ?most viewed? tab, it populates a different list every time. For example, the cinematic masterpiece and Charles Band's 2005 magnum opus, "The Gingerdead Man," first appeared at #1 on the most viewed tab. But when I refreshed the page, it was #7 despite its clever title and obviously compelling plotline. There seems to be a group of top recommendations that appear in no particular order.
The "Top IMDB" filter option has the same issue as the other filters. It does not work properly.
Besides offering a group of movies at random, it offers a group of movies that bear no resemblance to IMDB's actual top lists.
Some people may argue that some of the best movies of all time are not objective. There are classics that appeal to different people, and what may be seen as the best movie to one person may not be seen as the best movie by another person.
I think it is important that Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith comes before a review for it.
Yet,123movie.cc has a great algorithm that places the masterpiece of a review by PlinkettReviews before the actual movie.
So while the layout of the website is easy to follow, you will still be lost in a meaningless library.
Surprisingly Clean on Mobile
Without adblock, most free streaming sites are a minefield.
Any clicking might lead to ads that may or may not be malware on your device.
But the 123movie site was reasonable. I clicked around before landing on American Dad. When I selected the show, I was given two ads that I was able to back out of. That's impressive compared to some sites that are almost unusable with ads on.
Mobile sites often have ads over the play button, which redirects users a few times until they land on a landing page that is trying to convince them that hot singles in their area are looking for them.
However, this website didn't offer that. Instead, the link went straight to a landing page you're able to back out of. I had to do this twice before the show was playable.
The television show streamed without interruption and started playing immediately.
Overall, I think the mobile experience of this site should be the standard for free streaming services. They offer a mediocre library with minimal ads that are easy to avoid and fast servers that start your show (or movie) without buffering multiple times.
Sometimes, Bad is Good
On Taco Tuesday, my movie choice could have been disastrous if there had been no selection guide. But fortunately, I watched a movie that was so bad I couldn't stop laughing.
This website perfectly sums up my experience using it.
The website looks good, but the library is horrible. The Library is not horrible in the ?I?m never eating here again? way. It is awful in the ?favorite-dive-bar-with-bad-service? way.
I'm not going to suggest you invite friends over to watch a movie on 123movie. But if you find yourself bored on a weekday and want to watch a movie, keep an open mind and check out the library. You're not going to recognize most of the movies on the list, but most of them are so bad you won't be able to stop laughing after a few glasses of wine.
This website has the appeal of an ugly animal.
If you decide to take a chance on the site, you'll have a decent experience finding a mediocre movie.
The (not so) Good, the Bad, and the Ugly
I give the benefit of the doubt when I have a chance, but some things are inexcusable.
This site has a broken algorithm to suggest the next title. Additionally, it can be inaccurate.
Let's say you give it a chance. You sit down to watch a movie. You've had a few glasses of wine, and you're ready for a bad one. You know, something like the 2019 Hollywood failure Cats.? After convincing yourself that a live-action musical about humanized bird murders is worth sitting down to watch, you give it a shot.
You are lying in your favorite blanket with a big bowl of popcorn and your favorite fluffy socks.
You click the movie. You are immediately presented with ads.
But you, seeing a much younger Jeff Goldblum in the 2001 movie Cats & Dogs. Let's leave aside that Jeff's performance is probably a better theatrical choice than the financial black hole that is the 2019 Cats.
You were promised a movie. Unfortunately, the site's description does not list the movie's poster, release date, or actor list. 123movie does not deliver on their promise to provide this information.
If you are going to be a library filled with bad movies, at least take the time to get the links right. I can handle the lack of good movies, the subpar algorithm, and possible malware-laden ads. But I cannot handle a false advertisement.
What Can Be Improved
Sometimes you need to accept what is without getting attached to it.
This site offers a library of free movies with minimal ads and a decent layout that makes it easy to check out.
But two things can be done to add sparkle to their turd library.
Secondly, review your article for typos and grammatical errors. Lastly, make sure your article is well-organized and easy to follow.
Make sure the links in your article are accurate by reviewing them for typos and grammar mistakes. Also make sure your article is well-organized and easy to follow by following the appropriate formatting guidelines.
It can be tough to choose what to spend two hours of my life on, and once I finally decide, it is frustrating when I am redirected to another movie. This feels like the most important way to improve the quality of my life.
In order to create a quality product, it is important to make sure the filters are accurate.
I don't know exactly how to get an accurate list of IMDB movies integrated into the site, but I think it would be a good idea for the site to have data about the most viewed movies on its own.
At first, the filters seemed helpful. But then I refreshed the page and was given a different list with the same movies.
What?s the Verdict?
This website is not good at all.
The layout of the library is easy to navigate, but it lacks compelling movies, and the links might be incorrect.
Although this website is free, there are some downsides that make it difficult to recommend to friends.
I will use 123movie if I need background noise while cleaning the house, but it would be tough to put this site on a list of reliable resources.
This is the McDonalds of free streaming. It's usually disappointing, but when everything else is closed, it's an option to get by on.
