History and description

The stadium has a capacity of over 80,000. The Ataturk Olympic Stadium is the largest stadium in Turkey and the home of football club Istanbul BBSK. It has a capacity of over 80,000 people. In late 2017, the Turkish government announced that they would be reverting the stadium back to its original purpose of being a football ground and that it would be closed for public use.
