History and description

Today, Stade de l'Aube is an underrated stadium that is in need of a renovation. The stadium was built in 1924 and has only been upgraded once, in 1956. The current state of the stadium is that it needs more work done to it. It is still oval-shaped and has two small covered stands at the long sides and earth banks at the ends. The 1970s were a time when Stade de l'Aube would occasionally fill up with up to 17,000 spectators, but after the descent of Troyes to the fourth division in the 1980s, often not more than a 1,000 fans showed up.

Troyes? fortunes returned in the 1990s, causing the club to promote to Ligue 1 in 1999. A more modern stadium was then needed.

Demolition of the Marathon Stand began in April of 1999 and a new all-seater stand was finished shortly afterwards.

The construction of two new stands at each end of the stadium continued in 2004, and the opening of a new main stand completed the enclosing of the stadium on its western side.

How to get to Stade de l?Aube

The Stade de L'Aube is located on the eastern edge of the small city of Troyes, within a kilometre of its historic centre. The walk from the centre to the stadium will take a maximum of 15 minutes, though walking from the railway station, located at the other side of the centre, will likely take over 30 minutes.

Alternatively, catch bus 1 from the railway station (or core). Take the bus in the direction of Pont Ste Marie and get off at stop Stade de l?Aube, right in front of the stadium. Buses go regularly and the ride only takes 10 minutes.

There are regular direct trains from Paris Est to Troyes. The journey takes just over 1.5 hours.

Address: Avenue Robert Schuman, 10000 Troyes

Troyes Tickets

Tickets for Troyes games can be bought online, at the Stade de l?Aube ticket office (only opened in the afternoons), or at the Digitick and TicketNet sales outlets. Tickets can be bought at the ticket windows of the stadium on the day of the match. Troyes will occasionally sell out a high-profile match.

Troyes has created three pricing categories for their home matches. The cheapest tickets, which range from ?15.00 for a lower-tier seat behind the goal to ?40.00 for an upper-tier seat at the main stand, are available for regular matches. Super Gala tickets, which cost more than regular matches, run from ?25.00 to ?55.00.
