Construction of the BorÃ¥s Arena began in December 2003 and lasted until early 2005. The stadium officially opened on April 17th, 2005 with a match between Elfsborg and Örgryte (1-0). The Borås Arena came at a cost of SEK 112 million. It has an artificial pitch.

How to get to the Boras Arena

The Borås Arena is located in the north of the city of Borås, a short walk from the railway station and adjacent city center. The walk should take about 20 minutes. There are direct trains from Göteborg to Borås. From Stockholm, you'll need to change trains in either Göteborg or Herrljunga. Knalleland Station is located close to the arena, but is less frequently served by Borås's main rail station.
