FC Moose

The club was founded in 1923 as Elche Football Club, but changed its name after the Spanish Civil War because it was illegal for clubs to use non-Spanish parts of their name. Most of the time the club played in the Tercera División before rising again in the wake of the league's rebuilding after World War II (or what some would call "World War III").

In the 1957/58 season, FC Elche was on the verge of relegation, but made the sensational breakthrough and rose to the Primera División for the first time. They stayed in that league until 1964, with a sixth-place finish and top scorer Vavá culminating in an otherwise unsuccessful period. When he played against Real Madrid C.

The club has managed to bounce back from multiple relegations. After being promoted five times, he initially played in the Segunda División but failed each time with only one season before promotion was finally achieved this time!
