gogoanimes.ai
GogoAnime is an online streaming site that aims to bring anime and manga fans together, as well as provide a forum for them to share their thoughts. The website encourages viewers to love anime and supports the fandom by providing exclusive content and hosting community events. Comments can be left on videos, but only if they're posted by the person who shot them.
Overall, the website does not have a lot of information about it.
Although little is known about the website's history, it seems to primarily serve as a resource for viewers wishing to learn more about the site's goal. The social media presence is minimal, but there are some posts on Facebook and Twitter. Although these platforms were difficult to track down, GogoAnime does have a few tweets dating back to early 2017. Overall, the website does not offer much information about itself aside from its stated goals.
Website Design
I am impressed with the website design of GogoAnime. They have a million advertisements, but despite the ads, the site delivers a very cutesy vibe. The color scheme is in night mode which makes it easier on the eyes.
There are a few chibi characters hidden around the website. I noticed that their social media links are broken.
The Gogo Anime TV logo is very memorable and stylish. The orange color compliments the night mode theme well, and it pops against the dark background. It makes reading text and accessing information easier.
The menus on the website are well designed. It is easy to navigate on the page. The organization of the website using categories is perfect. There are tons of sub-selections in many different categories.
Content
In the Anime List, you can see all the anime episodes available for streaming. In addition, each show has its own page with information such as genre and rating. The Movies page allows viewers to see when a new movie is available and to watch it online. The Popular page lists all the most popular shows on GogoAnime.
On the home page, there are recent releases in dubbed. The column on the right has advertisements. Down the page on the right are Ongoing Series subsections and Genre subsections. In the middle of the home page are recently added series.
In the shoujo genre, titles include Cardcaptor Sakura and Clannad. Again, some episodes are missing, but the majority of series are complete. Finally, in the slice of life genre, titles include Chuunibyou demo Koi ga Shitai!, Free!, and Natsu no Arashi. These series generally have a consistent plotline with few or no breaks in-between episodes.
Some genres that are worth mentioning on the website include popular shonen such as Fairy Tail, Pokemon, and Boku no Hero Academia; popular shoujo such as Cardcaptor Sakura and Clannad; and popular slice of life such as Chuunibyou demo Koi ga Shitai!, Free!, and Natsu no Arashi. There are countless series available on the website in these genres, but not all series are complete - some have missing episodes while others are complete.
The Anime List on the main menu includes every show the website hosts. The shows are alphabetically arranged. There are 5 full pages of approximately 140 titles. GogoAnime hosts close to one thousand titles, making it easy to find a great show.
The website has both subtitled and dubbed versions of popular anime. There are a lot of subtitled shows on the website, but they feature recently released dubs on the home page, which makes them easy to find. The video and audio quality of both versions are wonderful, no matter what.
Desktop & Mobile Accessibility
The desktop version of GogoAnime is great. There are a few hiccups that are not great. Overall, the stream qualities are amazing. The load times are good. Audio is also impeccable. The layout of the website is easy to look at for multiple hours at a time. The night mode color scheme gives the website a youthful and hip aesthetic.
com.
The mobile browser version of this website is a scaled-down version that is almost exactly the same. The font is slightly too small, but not unbearable. The ads are slightly more overwhelming on the phone. I would suggest using the desktop browser, if at all possible, because there are no mobile applications for GogoAnime.com.
Positives
There are many positive aspects of GogoAnime. The website's use of a reputable organization is one advantage. It is very easy to find new shows and browse existing ones, as well. The main menu and other categories are easily accessible in the layout of the website.
The search function on GogoAnime is a great resource. The search functions well and is easy to find. Not only does the search bring up the title you search for, but it also brings up titles with related keywords. This makes it easy to find anime that you may be interested in.
The website GogoAnime hosts both subtitled and dubbed versions of shows, which are generally more subtitles than dubs. The website highlights the dubs prominently on the home page, and there is also a sub-genre of dubbed to filter all English shows. Additionally, there is a good selection of movies available on the website.
One of the best things about GogoAnime is the great video and audio quality. The video quality is so good that it is as if you are watching it live. The audio quality is also very good, and there are no commercials that interrupt the stream. This site loads quickly, too, which is great.
The comment feature on the videos is a great way to connect with fans. The option to participate in conversations with like-minded fans is a cool feature. Discussing episodes on the specific episode is also a great way to avoid spoilers.
The website's overall aesthetic is great. The color scheme and layout are a great combination, and the little chibi anime characters are my favorite part of the site.
Negatives
Although there are many positives about GogoAnime, there are quite a few negatives too. One of the more noticeable problems is that pop-ups are everywhere and persistent. When you click on a search bar, home page, or any menu function, it will open a new window entirely. There may be an app of some sort to block the ads. There are ad blocking technologies out there that could help but measures like this should not be necessary to navigate the website.
The About Us section of the website provides a couple sentences, but I wanted to find more information so I tried social media. GogoAnime has media links in the top right-hand corner of their website. I assumed they would work and tried to track them down on Facebook and Twitter, but the links were dead. I tracked them by searching them but found nothing of interest. Both of their profiles were empty.
I was disappointed in the lack of communication on GogoAnime. There is no forum, apps, or any other way to communicate aside from the comment sections. I was expecting a community but there wasn't one presented on the site.
Improvements Needed
Additionally, GogoAnime could beef up their content to keep their viewers coming back for more.
There are a few improvements that GogoAnime can make to better serve their viewers. One improvement would be developing an application to watch the streams on mobile devices. It could also make communication easier on mobile devices. Additionally, GogoAnime should bolster its content to keep viewers engaged and coming back for more.
The pop-ups on this website are seriously impacting viewer experience. Even reducing the number of pop-ups Slightly would make a big impact. The actual advertisements in the sidebars on the website are not bad at all, but the pop-ups need to be reduced.
I think a forum would be a better solution than limiting contact with comments on episodes. This feature would also drive extra traffic to the website.
Summary
Overall, GogoAnime is an okay website. It has a large library of popular and obscure titles in multiple languages. There are over 1000 titles available. The navigation and layout are nice. The vibe of the site is youthful and it gives off a hip appearance.
On the other hand, there are a ridiculous number of pop-ups. The mobile browser version is not great. The community side of the website could use more improvement, as well.
