The stadium was built in 1944 and has a capacity of 24,000 spectators. It is currently used mainly for football matches and it is the home ground of Racing de Santander. The stadium Estadio Nueva Condomina was one of the venues selected to host matches in Spain's 2018 World Cup bid, which would have meant an increase in capacity to 43,000 seats. However, the bid failed to get selected.

The stadium is also occasionally used for matches of the Spanish national team.

In 2019, the stadium in Murcia, Spain named Estadio Enrique Roca de Murcia after a naming rights sponsorship deal.

How to get to Estadio Enrique Roca de Murcia

The Estadio Enrique Roca de Murcia is located in the municipality of Churra, north of the city of Murcia. It is about 7 kilometres from Murcia's city centre. The stadium is located next to the large Nueva Condomina shopping mall, and is adjacent to the A7 motorway. However, it does not have a dedicated exit. Therefore, take the 763A in the direction of Murcia, and at the roundabout follow for Centro Comerciales. Pass Ikea (on your left), take the third exit at the roundabout, and the first exit at the next roundabout. Signs will guide you from there.

If travelling by public transport to Estadio Enrique Roca de Murcia, the tram line 1 can be reached with Murcia's only line. The tram will be located in the northern side of the city center at Plaza Circular or Avenido Juan de Borbón. The journey takes about 20 minutes.

An alternative to walking is bus 1, which can be caught from the Calle Florida Blanca near the main railway station, from Plaza Isabel in the historic city centre, or from Plaza Circular. Get off at stop Nueva Condomina. Buses go fairly frequently, but not until late at night.

Tickets for Real Murcia matches can be purchased online or at the club office at the stadium. Tickets for the match between Murcia and Barcelona are available at the stadium's ticket windows up to ninety minutes before kick-off. Normally, this club does not sell out.
