History and description

The stadium of Poljud, built in 1979 to host the 1979 Mediterranean Games, has two arced roofs that give it the shape of a seashell. The stadium at Poljud could initially hold 50,000 fans, but this was later reduced when the stadium was converted into an all-seater.

The stadium is regularly used for athletics and music events, including Ultra Music Festival.

How to get to Stadion Poljud

It can accommodate up to 50,000 spectators, making it a popular venue for football matches. The Stadion Poljud stadium is located in the north of the city of Split on the shores of the Adriatic Sea. It can accommodate up to 50,000 spectators and is a popular venue for football matches. You can take bus 3 from the eastern side of the historic centre (from streets Zagreba?ka or Zvonimira) and take the bus in the direction of Lora. Buses go every 15 to 20 minutes. Bus 17 to Studentski Dom is a good alternative, and bus 7 connects the stadium with the eastern parts of Split.

Address: 8. Mediteranskih Igara 2, Split

Hajduk Tickets

Tickets for Hajduk games can be bought online, at the stadium, or at the CroFanShop in the historic centre (street Marmontova). Hajduk often has the highest attendance rates in Croatia, but they are seldom sold out. The exception is their derby matchup with Dinamo Zagreb.

Relevant Internet links

Hajduk.hr is the official website of HNK Hajduk Split. Visitors to Hajduk.hr can find information on Split's tourist board, Promet.split.hr, and public transport in the city. We went to see Hajduk v Istra and bought tickets (60 Kn for a side view, 40 Kn for behind the goal with the ultras) easily at the kiosks outside the stadium. However, if it?s a game against Dinamo Zagreb or a Europa League game it may be best to buy in advance. The stadium could do with a clean and toilets are a disgrace, but the stadium is great and the atmosphere created by the Torcida home fans worth the entrance fee alone.
