You'll find a wide variety of genres, such as Comedy, Action, Thriller, Family, Drama, Mystery, Old School Classics, Stand-up Comedy and Documentaries. Movies have been bifurcated based on these genres and thus you don't have to worry about sorting out content to find the ideal title. I have to admit that I really appreciate the simple and intuitive interface of this app. It's super easy to navigate, and the hidden menu gives the hero section an extended breathing space which makes navigating even better. The content is well-organized based on genres on recommendation and the thumbnails stand out because of the dark theme.

When it comes to streaming content, you can't set your expectations too high on a free streaming platform like Popcornflix. If you do, you'll be disappointed. However, the platform does have a decent content library covering a wide range of genres with some entertaining older animated content. One thing I can say for sure is that this app has something for everyone.
Desktop/Mobile experience
Popcornflix performs smoothly on most compatible platforms. However, I need to inform you that you cannot expect HD or Ultra HD clarity from this app. Sure, it's better than the pixilated web app version, but it's nothing extraordinary. Other than that, if you stream on Roku, you would be able to stream conveniently on SD quality.
The ads on the streaming app ruin whatever experience you have. You would have to watch 15-20 second ads before every stream. It's not the ads that bother me, but the number of ads that make you want to bounce off and uninstall the app right away. But if you want to watch the content, that's the trade-off.
Even on the Pixel 3, I faced some buffering and loading issues. The videos didn't even play at times and would stop and buffer for several minutes before getting back on track. At 32MBPs, I don't consider my internet to be a stumbling block, but if you're streaming, expect issues like these.
Suggestions I have for Popcornflix
If you want to compete with the apps backed by big companies, Popcornflix needs to up its game. The streaming quality needs to be massively improved, and the developers need to do justice to the amazing interface by back it up with impressive streaming capabilities.
