With so many streaming sites out there to choose from, it can be hard to decide which ones are worth your time and/or money. Some are beautifully designed, easy to use, dependable, and stream high-quality content. Others, on the other hand, can be ad-ridden, cluttered, clunky, hard to navigate, unreliable, and stream grainy or amateur copies of movies and shows. There are many factors that one needs to take into account before making this decision.
There are plenty of highly rated, yet lesser known sites that you?ll want to explore.
Which is precisely why I have spent my time creating StreamingSites. Here, you won't have to wonder whether a site is worth your time or money. Because I have handpicked only the best of the best streaming sites that the internet has to offer. Sure, even though my list of reviews only features the sites worth looking into, though, that doesn't mean that within my list of the top streaming sites there is no variation. There are plenty of highly rated, yet lesser known sites that you'll want to explore.
Even if you are only looking at the top streaming sites, there will still be some variance in quality. There are the worst of the best, and there are the best of the best. My reviews have eliminated all of the sites that don't even deserve to be named, but you may still find that some of the sites I have listed are better for what you're looking for when it comes to streaming services.
To figure out which free streaming site is the best for you, you first have to determine which features are the most important to you. Then, you must compare each site's features to see which one has the most valuable content.
I have compiled a list of the best free streaming sites so that you can find what you're looking for. By reading through my reviews, you will be able to better understand what qualities are important to you in a free streaming site, and which site best meets those needs.
However, this does not mean that there are not some general things to be looking for when conducting your search. Likely, you will want a free streaming site with the highest number of titles. This is because, well, the more titles a free streaming site has to offer, the more likely you are going to be able to find what you are looking for at any given time. The logic checks out, right?
Secondly, when it comes to free streaming sites, the quality of the site itself is an equally important element to take into account. Free streaming sites unfortunately do not have the best reputation when it comes to providing user-friendly, intuitive, aesthetically pleasing web design. Far too often, free streaming sites are brimming with annoying advertisements, often embedded in the screen so that each click opens a popup or a new tab. This can be more than just frustrating; it can be dangerous as well. There are lots of people out there who are afraid to use free movie and TV streaming sites because of horror stories that they have heard of people getting viruses, trackers, and trojans from such ads.
I would never knowingly include a site on my list that contains viruses or other malware. However, since you are never 100% safe on the internet without the proper tools, I do have a list of some great VPNs that can help protect your computer?s well-being while you browse free streaming sites.
I would recommend everyone to go and find an ad blocker (check out the Useful Software section of this site), a solid antivirus software, and a VPN. With these three things, you will be as close to impenetrable as possible while browsing the web, no matter what you are doing.
Design
At first Prime Wire may seem strange, with its design layout that is flipped upside down. The login and sign up box is located on the right hand side of the page when it feels much more at home being left justified. There are also a few quick links including the latest comments, top comments and TV schedule. I love that Prime Wire offers a guide to help novice free movie streamers find their way around this site.
Another issue I have with Prime Wire is that the movies listed are always ads. When you click into a title, you will find information at the top of the page, along with a list of links to hosted files. Word of warning: don't click the top result, as it is always going to be an ad that will take you to another page that leads you to believe it has the movie or show if you sign up, although it, in fact, does not.
I don't like this layout because it is more cumbersome than it needs to be. I have seen the free movie and TV streaming sites execute this in a much more streamlined and user-friendly manner. Some sites, for example, provide one media player box and allow each link to automatically be cycled through without having to scroll through a lengthy list. Others take a sort of Google Images approach and give you a list of search results with thumbnails, which feels more natural and less clunky.
Maybe this list layout doesn't bug you as much as it bugs me. Personally, I would love to see Prime Wire undergo a serious makeover.
Content
Prime Wire does have a large library of movies and TV shows to choose from. Just about any title that comes to mind will probably be available here. However, when it comes to streaming quality, you'll find that it is pretty hit or miss. Many of the files do not stream in HD, and some only go so high up as 240p - which makes for a less than cinematic experience.
Mobile and Desktop Experience
There is no Prime Wire app, which is a disappointment. However, their mobile site seems to work just fine. It is pretty ad-heavy, but, hey, that comes with the territory, unfortunately, with these kinds of sites.
Suggestions that I have for Prime Wire
I think Prime Wire should redesign their whole website. It needs to be more experiential, aesthetically pleasing, and streamlined. Also, it needs higher-quality links. Nobody wants to watch a movie in 240p.
