Cable TV is no longer able to provide the same quality streaming experience as it used to. In order to satiate the desires of movie lovers, many users are turning to cord-cutting options that offer a better streaming experience. However, as the cost of each individual streaming service increases when bundled together, people have started losing faith in these services. Nine of the most popular streaming services that cost approximately $90/month don't even include sports which is why an increasing number of people have lost their faith in them.
To make sure you are getting the full value for your entertainment money, below is a table that will show you that premium streaming services aren't actually destroying cable or satellite networks, but are instead taking a similar shape when clustered.
$9.99 for the first 3 months, then $4.99 per month thereafter.
a month
You can subscribe to HBO Max for $14.99 a month. This service provides you with access to the newest HBO shows and movies, as well as past seasons of popular series.
Netflix offers a one-time $12.99 fee for new members. This fee is required for all new memberships. If you are an existing Netflix member, you can activate your account with this fee.
/month
Hulu is a paid subscription service that offers ad-supported streaming of TV shows, movies, and original content. It offers a variety of on-demand content as well as the ability to watch live TV with minimal buffering.
for a one-month trial
There is a $10.99 one-month trial for SHOWTIME.
CBS is offering $9.99 for new subscribers. This deal is only available to new subscribers.
Now available for just $8.99, the Prime Video app offers a variety of entertaining and informative programming. With its robust collection of content, Prime Video is the perfect way to spend your free time!
STARZ, a premium movie and television service provider, is offering its customers $8.99 per month. This offer is available to new and existing subscribers.
per month
Disney is offering $6.99 per month for their digital service. This is a great deal for people who want to keep up with their favorite Disney movies and TV shows.
/month for a basic service with no commercials
Apple TV+ is available for $4.99/month with no commercials.
This amount includes the cost of the product and shipping.
Through the aforementioned table, it can be seen that the premium prices of these streaming services are not helping your case. Add FuboTV, and Playstation Vue to the mix, and you're looking upwards of $180/month. And that's bonkers.

My recent experience on r/MovieStreamingSites
It was just yesterday that I checked out some posts on this subreddit. The first was a welcome post where I was required to read about rules and tips before starting my journey on this sub. After that, a post related to streaming sites - StreamAnimeTV 4.0, 123movies, and GoFlix.se. All of these seemed to work fine, just as the OP said.
About r/MovieStreamingSites - Community & Members
This is a great subreddit for users who are looking for streaming platforms to watch their favorite movies and TV shows. You'll find a variety of content, including movies, TV series, anime, and more. Additionally, you'll find news, updates, and information about free streaming platforms here. This subreddit was created on March 5th, 2014, and it has quickly gained a following amongst users. At this point, the subreddit has over 53,900 members. However, due to its popularity, only 100-200 people are online at any given time.
How to access r/MovieStreamingSites?
If you're not already a Reddit member, you'll need to create an account and confirm your email address before you can follow subreddits, comment on posts, and even post anything on any of the subreddits.
Moderators of r/MovieStreamingSites
One of the most disappointing things about this subreddit is that there is only a single moderator. This means that everything on the page is managed by ?buttermouth.? I find this to be unsafe because one person cannot test and keep an eye on what's being posted on the sub. This means that many users will try to take advantage of this situation and post projects full of adware and malware, which makes the credibility of the communityquestionable. However, that's exactly what everyone does when they decide to focus on illegal content consumption. This can cost us a lot more than we realize.
Why should you follow r/MovieStreamingSites?
There is no denying that of every ten links that are posted on this subreddit, you?ll find six-seven of them working fine. There is content, especially links and news that are posted each day on r/MovieStreamingSites. So if you?re into free streaming and like to watch movies and TV shows for free, you?ll find a lot of valuable information on this subreddit. For example, if something happens to VIPBox and it?s no longer available, you?ll be notified on the sub with a barrage of posts regarding the platform. That happened when Terrarium TV was taken down and will continue to happen in the near future.
Community Engagement
Although it is important to keep expectations in check when it comes to engagement, my findings suggest that the engagement level for this community is actually quite low. Out of 25 posts that I have checked, only a handful of users have interacted with them today- almost all of which had 5-10 upvotes and 3-4 comments. In comparison, the engagement level for other communities on this website is much higher- making it difficult for this community to survive if it doesn't manage to generate more interaction from its users.
Navigation
Overall, this is a well-run and easy to use sub.
I browsed this subreddit on a few occasions and didn't face any trouble. The menus are easy to navigate, just like any other subreddit. There are basic sorting features - "Hot," "New," and "Top," followed by the actual post. Towards the right, you have details about the community, which is followed by moderator information. Overall, this is a well-run and easy to use subreddit.
Important rules you must know before joining r/MovieStreamingSites?
One of the downsides of this subreddit is that there are no rules. I thought the moderator would at least lay down a framework to prevent people from posting spam links. Now, since there are no rules and recommendations on this site, it can be hard to trust the platform. Additionally, before you access any of the sites, make sure to use a VPN to protect your IP and personal information. As a user who just wants to watch free content, it's better if you do it safely and not go all out, risking your privacy and your data to such platforms who are waiting to prey on you.
Design
To be honest, I didn't have many expectations from this sub, and so it would be unfair to say that I'm disappointed. It doesn't have a unique community logo and nor does it have a dedicated cover. I don't get how the users aren't inclined towards helping their community stand out. One thing I noted was that 80% of the posts are just self-promotions. So basically, the audience is filled with free streaming site owners who are looking to promote their platform. There's no actual interaction as such on this platform, which is quite disappointing.
