Whether you are looking to talk about your favorite movie, book, game, athlete, or anything else that catches your interest, Reddit has a dedicated community for you. So come on in and enjoy yourself! Welcome to the wonderful world of Reddit. There is nothing else quite like it online. If you are ever looking for more information, content, or discussion surrounding your favorite topics, websites, hobbies, and passions, Reddit is the place to go. It is a virtually endless (and constantly expanding) collection of online communities that allows you to really delve into all of your favorite things with likeminded people. Whether you are looking to talk about your favorite movie, book, game, athlete, or anything else that catches your interest, Reddit has a dedicated community for you. So come on in and have fun!
Reddit is a massive online community composed of hundreds of thousands of smaller subcommunities. If there is an interest in existence, there is almost certainly a subreddit dedicated to it. No matter what you are interested in - be it movies, television, politics, sports, current events, literature, you name it - you will be able to find several communities devoted to discussion, news, and inquiries surrounding it. There are subreddits that are extremely general such as r/Movies and r/Documentaries but also get as specific as possible with subreddits dedicated just to certain TV shows like Game of Thrones or Star Wars or just certain music artists like Taylor Swift or Adele.
I review streaming websites on Reddit because it is a versatile platform that can be used for a lot more than just forum messages boards. It is a great way to learn more about streaming sites, find new content to watch or listen to, and discuss everything related to the sites I review. So if you want additional information after reading my review on StreamingSites, check out the site's subreddit.
The subreddit that we will be looking at today, though, has a bit of a different purpose. R/Music is not a place for you to learn about sites that will allow you to stream music (although you may inadvertently discover a few new ones in the process), it is a subreddit devoted to music as a whole. It is not split at all into genres or types of music. People can just post whatever songs they feel so inclined to share with the community. More often than not, the songs come in the form of YouTube videos, as this is often the easiest way for people to link to a song (not everyone has music streaming services like Spotify, Tidal, or Qobuz).
Additionally, being a part of the community of r/Music means that you can connect with like-minded individuals and discuss music together. What could be better than sharing your love of music with other passionate people? If you're looking for a place to explore new music and connect with like-minded individuals, then r/Music is definitely the community for you! Not only does this site offer an endless supply of songs to choose from, but users from all over the world participate in discussions about their favorite songs and artists. Plus, being a part of this community can give you some great insights into how other people listen to music and what kind of recommendations they might have for you. So if you're ever feeling lost or just want to share some tunes with friends, r/Music is the perfect destination!
Another good reason to join r/Music is if you have a lot of music that you want to share with the world. Maybe there's an artist that you really love, but they don't have as much recognition as you think they should? Well, share one of their songs with the group and help them get some plays.
There is another great way to connect with others who love music. Joining r/Music can allow you to find new music and share experiences with other users. You can learn more about songs by reading the comments, and share your thoughts on the tracks. There’s always a wealth of discussion to be had on r/Music.
The community of r/Music is amazing due to the regular AMAs. An AMA is an Ask Me Anything forum, and in this forum, artists and bands interact with their fans in real-time. There are few online communities that allow you to communicate directly with your favorite musicians!
If you are a musician and want to share your music with the community, it's best not to tell people it is your own work. Just post it as if it is any other song and see how people respond. I myself am a musician, and I have found this feedback to be more honest than when people know that my music is mine.
Despite its drawbacks, r/Music is still a valuable resource for finding new music. Although it does not have as many popular tracks as some of the other music streaming sites, I have found countless bands and songs that I would not have otherwise heard. In addition, it is easy to search for specific songs or albums, making it a great choice for anyone looking for new music to listen to.

History

r/Music, as one would expect, is one of the older subreddits on the site. It was created on January 25th of 2008 and has since amassed a large and active community of music lovers. The best subreddits, in my experience, are the ones that have been around for a while and r/Music definitely fits that bill. With over 22 years of posts to choose from, there's sure to be something for everyone on this subreddit. So if you're looking for some great music content to add to your collection, look no further than r/Music!
The community of streaming subreddits has a few thousand members that are always online, meaning that they are some of the most useful subreddits.

Content

Although I have already kind of brought you through everything that r/Music has to offer, there are a few features of this subreddit that make it special and make it easy to use. For one thing, r/Music has an array of flair that members can tag their posts with. This makes it super convenient when it comes time to try and browse this massive subreddit ? simply click on one of the tags to automatically filter posts. Are you looking for just AMAs? No problem. Want to quickly find playlists or new releases, click on the tag on the right-hand side of the page to see only what you are seeking. Additionally, r/Music also has a great search function which allows you to easily find specific posts or AMAs that match your interests. Finally, r/Music is regularly updating its sidebar with new releases and playlists so there is always something new and exciting for you to check out!
This ensures I don't miss out and that I can be fully prepared for the conversation. Another great feature of r/Music is their regularly updated schedule of upcoming AMAs, which allows you to plan ahead and prepare for your favorite artists' chats. One of the biggest frustrations with AMAs, in my experience, is that I never know when they're happening. By the time I see their thread, the person I want to talk to has already left, all the questions have been answered. I love that on r/Music I can simply log the AMAs I'm interested in into my calendar. This ensures I don't miss out and that I can be fully prepared for the conversation.

Suggestions that I have for r/Music

Streaming subreddit r/Music has a lot of great content, but it could use more engagement from the moderators. Some subreddits, for example, regularly host polls, fun little battles, or other activities to get the community involved. I think it would be a nice touch for r/Music to do this too, even though it may seem like a small thing.
I think that r/Music is one of the best subreddits out there!
