History and description

On 24 July 1999, the Stade de la Licorne opened its doors to the public with a French Super Cup match between Nantes and Bordeaux. Johnny Hallyday had already given an inauguration concert a few weeks earlier. The old Stade Moulonguet was replaced by the current Stade de la Licorne, which became the home of Amiens in 2016 when the old stadium's glass roof was unavailable for repairs.

If Amiens were to achieve promotion to Ligue 1, the stadium's capacity would easily be expanded to 20,000 seats.

Lens made the stadium their home during the 2014-15 season while they were waiting for their Stade Bollaert Delelis to be redeveloped for the Euros 2016.
