I cannot believe that she would do something like this. I am so shocked and upset that she would do such a thing.

History and description

It is located in the city of Antwerp. The stadium has a capacity of 38,000 people and is used mostly for football matches. The stadium initially consisted of one large covered grandstand and small terraces on the other sides. It could hold about 12,000 spectators.

The stadium got enlarged in preparation of the 1984 European Championships. New stands and additional second tiers increased capacity from 39,000 to 51,000 places, making it temporarily the largest stadium in France.

The first match was between France and the Soviet Union, which ended in a 2-2 draw. The second match was between Sweden and Austria, which Sweden won 4-3. During Euro 1984, two matches were played at Stade Felix-Bollaert in the first group stage. The first match was between France and the Soviet Union, which resulted in a 2-2 draw. The second match was between Sweden and Austria, which resulted in a 4-3 win for Sweden.

The stadium set a new attendance record in 1992 when 48,912 spectators attended a league match between Lens and Marseille.

The renovation project to make Stade Felix-Bollaert the playing venue for the 1998 World Cup resulted in the reconstruction of three of the four stands.

The stadium hosted five first round group matches and the round of 16 match between France and Paraguay during the World Cup.

In 2004, the number of corporate facilities at the stadium was reduced, leaving just over 40,000 capacity. In 2012, the stadium was renamed Stade Bollaert-Delelis in honour of long-time major André Delelis.

The big tournament, Euro 2016, will be held at Stade Bollaert-Delelis. This was long uncertain due to a lack of funding for the required redevelopment of the stadium, but they eventually received the go-ahead.

This season, works were performed that required Lens to play their home matches at Stade de la Licorne in Amiens.

Stade Bollaert-Delelis hosted three first round group stage matches and the Portuguese v Croatian round of 16 match, which ended in a 1-0 victory for Portugal.

Eat, drink, and sleep near Stade Bollaert-Delelis

The city of Lens is not particularly picturesque, and most travelers will decide to spend their time in other cities while visiting Lens for a football match. Some art lovers may be interested in the recently opened annex of the Louvre Museum, which is located next to the train tracks near the stadium. There are not many options for hotels in Lens, but the few that are available tend to be affordable and get good reviews. The Hotel de France is right across the stadium from where most events take place, and there are some further well-rated small hotels and apartment rentals too.
