History and description

This stadium is home to Lazio and has a seating capacity of 30,000. In 2004 another effort was made to revitalize the stadium and by May of that year a new main stand had been completed. The new stand is now home to the Frosinone Calcio football team.

A roof was added to the stand in the 1990s, but plans to pick up works did not move forward. In the next two decades, plans to pick up works resurfaced at intervals but only came off the ground when Frosinone promoted to Serie A in 2015.

In 2015, works recommenced in order to speed up completion and consisted of mostly prefabricated tubular elements. The main stand got extensively renovated.

Stadio Benito Stirpe officially opened on September 28th with a friendly match between Frosinone and a youth team.

How to get to Stadio Benito Stirpe

The Stadio Benito Stirpe is located in the west of the small city of Frosinone. It is about 2 km from the city centre. Frosinone lies south-east of Rome, and there are frequent trains running from Rome Termini station, typically at least once an hour. The journey takes 1 to 1.5 hours depending on the service.

Address: Viale olimpia, Frosinone

Ticket prices vary depending on the location and the type of seat. For example, a seat behind the goal can be purchased for between 15 and 60 dollars, while other seats in the side stands go for between 20 and 35 dollars.
