I find Tamilarasan website design to be displeasing and I do not like how it looks. It is not as if Tamilarasan's website offers the worst site design that I have ever seen. I find the site lacking in many ways. For one, there is nothing really dynamic or interactive about it- it's more of a basic website. Secondly, it feels very amateurish and unprofessional. Lastly, it's not particularly modern or experiential- it's quite old fashioned in comparison to other streaming websites.
It's strange, because I am usually a huge fan of the minimalist aesthetic when it comes to site designs. I like a sparse site that makes good use of negative space and offers a pared down vibe. This is not the impression that I get from Tamilarasan, though. Instead, the impression that this site gives me is one of amateurish, sophomoric coding. I get the sense that whoever built this site is either unexperienced, lazy, or both. Allow me to take you through this site in order to give you a better idea of exactly what I mean.
The home page has a site menu bar at the top and a gallery of thumbnails below that. The site menu bar is not very helpful from a site navigation standpoint. The gallery has 10 or 12 thumbnails. Scrolling down, you find that you are at the bottom of the page. This is, essentially, the entire site which asserts itself in 147 pages of the same underbaked and underwhelming layout.
Secondly, the site menu bar is ?not incredibly helpful?? in that it offers no direct way to find something specific like a movie or TV show. After some puzzling and clicking around, I was able to locate what I was looking for by using the search bar on the top of the page. Finally, when it comes to streaming movies and TV shows, ?big boss Tamil- Season 4?? simply isn't up to par. The site is riddled with errors and it's painfully slow in loading all of the videos.
Secondly, how can one browse Tamilarasan by genre, by year, or any other useful category? Sure, it is nice that you can browse by language (out of the two available, Tamil and Hindi), and that you can browse by New movies, overdubbed movies, and high definition only? But there has to have been a more streamlined or synergistic way to go about this, right?
Most free movie streaming websites would have built these distinctions into their layout, with a section for new movies, one for HD movies, and so on. Ideally, each of these sections would offer a side-scrolling mechanism for easy and intuitive browsing. However, Tamilarasan is little more than 140+ pages, each of which offers a smattering of free movies.
I guess there is something to be said about the simplicity of this site. It is straightforward, I'll give it that. If you like a site that simply lets you stream free movies (and nothing else) then perhaps you will be a fan of Tamilarasan's design. Hey, to each his own!
Content and Features
I'm evaluating the site's content and features and, as I see it, the site's strongest asset is its offerings of free movies and TV shows. While the size of Tamilarasan's library is disappointing, there are a lot of good movies and TV series available for free here.
As of this review, Tamilarasan offers 142 pages of free movies and TV shows. This amount of content amounts to around 1,764 free movies and TV shows that you can stream for free here. Sure, this is better than having 0 movies to stream for free, but if we compare this to the number of free movies streaming on other, comparable sites, Tamilarasan is easily dwarfed.
This is not the site for people who enjoy a lot of user features. In fact, this is not the site for people who like to have any user features. Outside of being able to watch free movies and TV shows, Tamilarasan has nothing to offer - no comments, no ratings, no ?liking? movies, no watchlists, no nothing.
That being said, I do have something positive to say about Tamilarasan. It is, if nothing else, one of the most reliable free movie streaming sites that I have ever seen. Whereas many similar sites can be inconsistent to a fault (low-quality streams, slow buffer times, hit or miss servers, etc.), Tamilarasan appears to offer thousands of free movies and TV shows that are of decent quality, which play and buffer quickly every single time. Believe it or not, this is a rare commodity among free streaming sites these days.
Mobile and Desktop Experience
There is no mobile app of this website, which is not surprising as free movie streaming sites like this one (which are rare) do not typically offer mobile apps. That being said, the website was specifically designed for mobile devices with everything automatically resizing to fit a phone or tablet screen. This offers a great mobile experience.
It's true that the mobile site has better design than the desktop site. I would say that, if anything, the mobile site could have what it takes to be one of the best free movie streaming sites for mobile devices, even if the desktop experience is rather lackluster.
I've noticed that there are a moderate number of ads for a free movie streaming site on Tamilarasan. I have seen similar sites with many more ads, for sure, but I have also reviewed plenty of free movie streaming sites with significantly fewer. Nevertheless, the good news is that a decent ad blocker takes care of the bulk of them. I would implore the owners of Tamilarasan to completely redesign their website from the ground up in order to stay competitive in an oversaturated market such as streaming. It is tough enough to be successful in this industry; if they offer an outdated and basic user experience in 2021, they will be defeated by the competition!
