As a streamer myself, I have been asked this question so many times that I decided to start writing streaming site reviews to help people figure out which ones are the best. With so many new streaming sites popping up all the time, it can be hard to decide which one is worth your investment. That's where my reviews come in! I will take the time to dissect each site and determine if it is worth your time and money.
I always evaluate a site's design when evaluating it for streaming purposes. In order to qualify for my list, a site must have user-friendly, intuitive, and sharp web design. If I am going to be paying a fee every month for a streaming service, it needs to be easy to use and navigate as well. Ideally, the site should look good while doing so.
That's not asking too much, right? Most of these TV streaming sites have millions of dollars to spare - so it's a requirement in my book that some of that big money goes towards providing users with a stellar and simple experience, on both the site and the mobile app. Oh, speaking of, there should be a mobile app. I should say, actually, that there should be multiple apps available. Cross-platform compatibility is another huge (and often overlooked) criterion that all the best TV streaming sites have in common. Not only should I be able to stream TV shows effortlessly on both Android and iOS devices, but I also want an app for my smart TV, Roku, gaming console, etc. I should never have to cast from my phone or plug my laptop into my TV with an HDMI cable (let's leave those in 2020!).
To be a great TV streaming site, it is essential to provide a large and varied selection of high-quality content. Without good movies or series streaming, a streamer is not fulfilling its purpose. Some TV streaming services provide hundreds (even thousands) of streaming TV series and episodes on-demand. Some have a great variety of live TV streaming available. The best TV streaming sites, of course, have both. With so many choices, it can be hard to settle for anything less than perfection when deciding on your new premium streaming subscription.
Now, with all of that in mind, here's a breakdown of how much you're likely to spend on streaming services per month, based on what type of membership you choose:
If you subscribe to a basic plan with no ads or channels limits - which is the most popular option - you're looking at an average bill of $10 per month. If you add in some channels (like HBO or Showtime) and/or want fewer ads, your bill will go up to around $15. But if you want even more features like DVR capabilities or exclusive content from certain networks, your monthly fee can easily hit $30 or more.
Last but not least, the matter of money. As you probably already know well- since this is probably not the first experience with streaming services (and if it is congrats and welcome to the wonderful world of streaming my friend!) - monthly charges can vary quite a bit from one TV streaming site to the next. Plus, a lot of them tend to offer 2 or 3 different price points and membership options. If you want to watch TV shows and movies on Peacock for free, you can do so. However, if you want to have full premium access to these items with no ads, you will need to pay $9.99/month. HBO Max, on the other hand, charges $15/month for full premium access with no ads, but the trade-off is that you can watch some of the best exclusive content available and some of the most critically acclaimed TV series ever made.
Unfortunately, there is no simple or objective answer to the question, "what is the best TV streaming site?" What it really boils down to is what kind of TV series you prefer to watch, whether you like to stream live TV or stream on-demand, and how much wiggle room you have in your monthly budget. Therefore, the question is not "what is the best TV streaming site," but "what is the best TV streaming site for you?"
Even though Denmark is known for their great streaming content, I am not surprised to hear that TV 2 Play is one of the top streamers. They have a large selection of great content and excellent mobile apps, which make it easy to watch their streams. Plus, their streams are reliably high-quality.
TV 2 Play is a streaming site that provides access to TV 2, TV 2 Charlie, and TV 2 Zulu channels. It is convenient because it takes all of the best offerings from TV 2 and places them in one easy to use site. If you have already cut the cord or do not want to pay for cable TV, TV 2 Play might be the best streaming site for you.
Design
TV 2 Play's user interface is wonderfully intuitive and logical. From the moment you land on the homepage, you should have no trouble figuring out how to find your favorite TV shows or stream live TV. Everything that you could need to browse, discover, and search content is right there, clearly labeled and easy to find.
Below this is a search bar, and below that, a series of subsections including Recently Added, Featured Series, and On-Demand Movies.
There is a sparse site menu bar at the top of the page from which you can access the main sections of the site. Here, you'll find News, Sports, and Kids sections making it easy to switch between live TV and on-demand streams. Below this is a fairly typical TV streaming site layout. You'll find a large banner at the top of the page that promotes featured series and episodes, and a series of descending menu rows from there. These are separated by content type (popular near you, live TV channels, and various categories thereon. TV 2 Play's design is simple, responsive, and logical. If interface is important to you when looking for the best TV streaming sites, TV 2 Play is definitely worth considering.
Content and Features
So, as I was saying before, TV 2 Play provides both on-demand and live TV streaming. However, you can watch whichever you prefer. Basic packages include everything that is broadcast on TV 2, TV 2 Zulu, FriNews, and TV 2 Charlie. However, if you are willing to pay a little bit more, you can greatly expand what TV 2 Play has to offer. The different packages include: Basic (everything that is broadcast on TV 2), Plus (adds Zulu and FriNews), Pro (adds news and Charlie), and Elite (adds all of the above plus international channels). So whether you want to watch all of the programming that is aired on TV2 or just some of it - there is a package for you!
The TV 2 Play Favorite + Sports package has every aforementioned TV 2 channel, as well as TV 2 Sport and TV 2 Sport X. Sports coverage on TV 2 Play is not the most exciting of all the TV streaming sites on the market that stream live sports, but, hey, some sports streaming is better than no sports streaming, right? That being said, there is still plenty to be thrilled about with TV 2 Sport, including NBA basketball, tennis (ATP and WTA), handball, badminton, cycling, and football (all matches from La Liga and Serie A). Seeing as many TV streaming sites do not offer any live sports streaming at all, TV 2 Play should definitely be a top contender for anyone who loves watching sports.
Mobile and Desktop Experience
On the Google Play Store, it has an average rating of 5 stars.
I am happy to report that TV 2 Play does have mobile apps available for both iOS and Android devices. The apps offer smooth and user-friendly interfaces that make streaming live TV and binging your favorite shows on the go as easy and enjoyable as it should be. On the Apple App Store, for instance, the TV 2 Play app has an average user rating of 4.4 (out of 5). On the Google Play Store, it has an average rating of 5 stars.
TV 2 Play is available on Apple TVs, Android TVs, select Smart TVs, and Chromecast. Like I said, the best TV streaming sites offer cross-platform compatibility, and TV 2 Play does a great job at doing so.
Pricings and Plans
There are three tiers of TV 2 Play plans available. The upper two come with ad-free or ad-included options, at different price points. Here are all of your options for subscribing to TV 2 Play:
