All information about World Cup 2022 Group F

Group F of the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar has the potential to become the most exciting of all seasons. Four teams are gathered in it, each of which has players in their ranks who have world-class - and who are expected to play at least the round of sixteen. These are Belgium, Croatia, Canada and Morocco.

The teams that finished 2nd and 3rd at the 2018 World Cup in Russia, for example, are on the ball in the form of the two European teams in Group F. Especially for neutral fans, this high power density is a gift. After all, none of the teams can afford a dropout. Otherwise, the early end threatens after the group stage.

The World Cup 2022 Group F in the analysis

Also interesting is the factor that with a view to the round of sixteen it is not necessarily possible to say whether 1st or 2nd place in Group F is better. It goes in the first knockout round against the two winners of the World Cup Group E. And here play with Germany and Spain the world champions of the years 2010 and 2014.

If both progress, it will probably depend on the form of the teams involved whether it is better to compete against the Iberians or against the German national team. However, due to the fact that the 2022 World Cup teams in Group F cannot afford to lose points, as otherwise the early exit is likely due to the power density, the teams do not have to torture themselves with this question.

Belgium finally wants to make the big leap

Before the 2022 World Cup, what can (and must) be said for the Belgian national football team before every tournament applies: The team is mature and strong enough for the title. Coach Roberto Martinez has players such as World Cup star Kevin de Bruyne, Romelu Lukaku, Thibaut Courtois or captain Youri Tielemans in his own ranks.

These players are among the very best there is. Martinez has to worry at most that the performance of some of his players in the club has not been good recently. But this should not be an excuse due to the incredible quality in the squad.

Can Croatia repeat the success of the last World Cup?

Coach Zlatko Dalic is under great pressure in Qatar with his Croatians. His country so desperately wants to repeat the success of four years ago in Russia. At the Euro 2021, this has already failed. But the quality in the Croatia World Cup squad still fits.

The midfield in particular is brutally strong, with players like Mateo Kovacic, Marcelo Brozovic, Mario Pasalic and, of course, captain Luka Modric. Four years ago, however, many opponents did the Croats the favor of underestimating them. They shouldn't expect that this time.

Canada has the potential for a big surprise

Coach John Herdman arguably has the best Canadian national team ever. It is led by Canadian World Cup star Alphonso Davies. But it's not just the left winger who has outstanding quality: centre forward Jonathan David, for example, is also one of them.

With Cyle Larin and Tajon Buchanan, the team also has wingers of international level in its own ranks. If all players stay healthy and are in first-class form, the Canadian offensive can also pose big problems for teams like Belgium and Croatia and perhaps look towards the 2022 World Cup knockout rounds.

Morocco should not be underestimated

Morocco's coach has only been Walid Regragi since August, replacing the controversial Vahid Halilhodzic. And he has built up a powerful team of which the general public in Europe does not realize how strong it actually is.

The team is led by right-back and World Cup star Achraf Hakimi, who is one of the best players on the planet in his position. Centre forward Youssef En-Nesyri is also world-class. With Bono, Morocco's national team also has first-class and experienced support between the posts. In addition, with the new coach Chelsea professional Hakim Ziyech and Bayern newcomer Noussair Mazraoui are back in the squad. This team can also pose big problems for any opponent.

Our prediction for Group F of the 2022 World Cup

Group F can only be predicted extremely. If all teams perform as well as they are capable of, Belgium and Croatia would have to fight for places 1 and 2. The daily form brings the decision. 3rd place should go to Morocco and Canada has to settle for fourth place. But it's not quite that easy in football. Especially in the group stage of a World Cup, not every team has the right performance.

Supposedly smaller teams are also highly motivated, as they may be the only games it is allowed to play at the World Cup. The result is often the fall of favorites. There are countless examples of this in the history of the World Cup.

On the positive side, if you like to bet and are looking for a group where you might win big, Group F is a hot candidate. Because it would not be too much of a sensation if Canada and Morocco could defeat Belgium and/or Croatia. You can also take a look at our 2022 World Cup tips and get inspiration for the finals.
